Register for Parking
UNCG, like many large urban universities, has a limited amount of parking available on campus. Therefore we require that students, faculty and staff who want to park on campus purchase permits. Visit the Parking Operations and Campus Access Management where you can register for your permit online and have the permit billed to your student account.
Student Parking Options - UNCG offers a number of parking options for students. See the How To "Determine What Permit to Buy" for pricing and details.
Types of Permits:Resident - For those students living on campus.
Commuter - For those students living off campus.
Park & Ride Permits - For those students who wish to park on campus between 2:00pm and 7:30am. This option also allows you to utilize the Park and Ride shuttle service between the hours 7:30am and 5:30 pm.
Deck Parking - For persons wanting to park in the Walker Ave or McIver Street parking decks. (There are currently waiting lists for both decks).
Motorcycle - Valid only for Motorcycles in designated spaces.
Visitor Parking Options:
Visitor parking is available via metered spaces, with the purchase of a $2-per-day hangtag * for parking in the surface lots, or at the rate of 75¢ per hr/$5 per day maximum to park in the decks. Hangtags may be purchased at the Parking Services Office in the Walker Avenue Parking Deck. (* Proof of insurance is required)
