Get an ID
UNCG students are issued an ID card known as the UNCG FirstCard. You get your ID by going to the FirstCard Center beside the Bookstore in the Elliott University Center (EUC) ONE DAY AFTER you have registered for classes. The UNCG FirstCard is an all-in-one card. It serves as an ID, campus debit, library and meal card for all UNCG faculty, staff and students. Also for students who choose to do so, the FirstCard can serve as a Wachovia ATM and debit card.
Your UNCG FirstCard has 3 purses or locations for storing money to be spent in different places: Dining Dollars (used only at Dining Locations), PIN protected Purse (use at bookstore), General Purse (use all around campus).
Use your FirstCard to pay for...
- Food at Campus Dining Locations, either Meal Plan in the Caf/Outta Here, or Dining Dollars (all locations)
- Books at the UNCG Bookstore (PIN protected Purse)
- Soda and food at some vending machines
- Washers & Dryers in the dorms (General Purse)
- Parking Tickets at Parking Services (General Purse)
- Medicine at Student Health Center (General Purse)
Use your FirstCard to...
- Check out books from Jackson Library
- Check out free movies from the Teaching and Learning Center
- Get into and check out equipment from the Campus Recreation Center
- Get free admission to UNCG regular season home athletic events
- Get discounts on tickets at the UNCG Box Office
- Get your computer account passwords or PIN reset at the SuperLab
- Get services at the Health Center
- Show proof of identity at UNCG offices for things like transcripts, enrollment verifications, financial aid information, etc.
