Students are required to take a final examination, if one is given, in every course for which they are registered. Your instructor should provide information about the format of the final exam.
Each semester the Learning Assistance Center offers a workshop on Exam Preparation. You may find it helpful to form an exam study group if you are not already part of a study group. Review your notes, and any potential exam questions the instructor may provide. Some academic departments may offer last minute tutoring or exam review sessions. The EUC typically stays open late for late night study space as well as exam stress busters. Campus Recreation hosts an Exam Jitters Jog each spring exam season.
During the Fall and Spring Semesters exams are not given during "regular" class time, they are on special days at special times. Refer to the Exam Calendar for particular dates and times for each class. Summer final exams are held on the last day of class for each session.
Students with more than two examinations within 24 hours may apply to the University Registrar's Office, 180 Mossman Building, for permission to change their exam schedules. The usual policy is to change the middle examination in a sequence of three. All requests for changes in examinations must be filed with the University Registrar's Office, 180 Mossman Building, by Reading Day.
