Each semester UNCG employs over 2000 students on campus in a variety of positions. Students can work on campus as a work study student, departmental student or for UNCG service providers like Dining Services or the Bookstore. Graduate students who want to work on campus may be eligible for an Assistantship. Note: All student employees must complete an I-9 form at the Student Employment Office (1 Elliott University Center) at the time of hire.
Name and address information for student employees is maintained separately from the rest of the University. If you work for UNCG and change your name or mailing address you must contact the Payroll Office (270 Mossman Building) with those changes IN ADDITION TO changing your name with University Registrar's Office (180 Mossman Building) and/or changing your address via UNCGenie.
Student employees are encouraged to participate in Direct Deposit. Funds are deposited in the student's bank account and available immediately on payday, avoiding check pick-up and cashing hassles.
Work-study eligiblity is determined by the Financial Aid Office. If a student is awarded work study it is their responsibility to locate a position via the Spartan TRAK Job Search. Work study students may also choose to work off campus in a Community Service position. If you do not find a job within the first four weeks of school your Work study award will be cancelled.
Many campus departments hire students in non-Work-study positions. These jobs are listed in SpartanTRAK as well.

Graduate Assistantships may be available for eligible students. Most of these involve academic departments and inquiries about them should be directed to the academic department.
