Division Excellence
The Division of Enrollment Services is committed to maintaining its status as a national model of student services. This commitment, combined with the aforementioned emphasis on staff learning, create an environment where staff are acknowledged leaders in their respective fields. As a result, Enrollment Services staff members are often presented with unique development opportunities and special recognitions.

Division Accomplishments
· In 2004, UNCG enrolled the largest freshman class in the history of the University - a 41% increase over the 1995 freshman class. Mean SAT scores and high school grade point averages have risen dramatically as the result of increasing admissions standards six of the last eight years.
· In 2004, UNCG enrolled the largest transfer class on record.
· In 2004, UNCG enrolled the largest student body in its history, which is the most racially and ethnically diverse of any of the historically white institutions in the University of North Carolina System.
· Over the last eight years, annual enrollment revenue has increased by forty-two million dollars.
· Student Academic Services was awarded the 2004 Retention Excellence Award for Strategies for Academic Success by Noel-Levitz Higher Education Consultants.
· UNCG's Enrollment Services Division is one of only 23 IBM Best Practice Partners in the World.
· The Enrollment Services Division was featured in a PBS Broadcast, Innovations in Planning for Student Services: Models That Blend High Touch with High Tech sponsored by the Society for College and University Planning.
· The Enrollment Services Division was featured in a First-Year Experience Telecast on enrollment management sponsored by the University of South Carolina Center for the Freshman Year Experience.
· UNCG's Enrollment Services was chosen by Microsoft to train their field representatives in the area of enrollment management.
· The Enrollment Services Division was the recipient of the 2004 NACADA award for Outstanding Electronic Publication for the Spartan Success Web mail that serves as an early intervention and communications tool for newly enrolled students.

· Enrollment Services developed the institution's first ever enrollment management plan and involved the campus community in the design and implementation phase. We have exceeded all key performance indicators in the original plan.
· Enrollment Services partnered with the academic units to add new degree programs to the Evening University along with a full complement of general education courses.
· Enrollment Services created the university's student marketing messages and ensures marketing messages permeate all publications, advertisements, Web pages, multimedia presentations, and campus tour scripts.
· Enrollment Services partnered with University Advancement to promote the institution's marketing direction.
· Enrollment Services worked with academic departments to create eight-week mini sessions.
· Enrollment Services increased staff satisfaction on twenty of twenty survey items.
· Enrollment Services reduced staff turnover by forty-four percent.
· Enrollment Services was awarded a $50,000 grant from the SAS Institute to implement Strategic Performance Management software. UNCG was the first institution in the world to use SAS Strategic Performance Management to monitor enrollment management key performance indicators and related metrics. The Enrollment Services Division was featured at a recent SAS Conference for our work to date using the software.
· The Office of Undergraduate Admissions was the first in the United States to deploy the Azorus recruitment software.
· The Financial Aid Office was the first in the world to use NolijWeb document imaging software for work flow.
· The University Registrar's Office designed custom doctoral regalia for UNCG graduates.
· The Enrollment Services Division has hosted numerous site visitors from the United States as well as abroad. International institutions that have sent staff to observe various aspects of our enrollment operation include Strathclyde University, Bangor University, Wales College of Medicine, Glasgow University, American University of Bulgaria, and the University of Aarhus.
· UNCG's Enrollment Services Division was an invited participant in The College Board's review of the APIEL exam, an alternative to the TOEFL (Heidelberg, Germany).
· The only existing comprehensive, validated instrument for assessing enrollment management operations was developed and tested at UNCG.
