The Culture
UNCG has an incredibly diverse population of faculty, staff, and students. In addition, the activities on campus vary dramatically. The result is a campus rich with diversity of people and activities. Working within the campus community affords staff the opportunity to be involved with an array of experiences. University employees typically receive discounts to the wide variety of performances hosted on campus each year.
- UNCG has over 300 concerts, performances, art exhibitions, readings, and other cultural events each year.
- Enrollment Services has sponsored teams at many local charity events such as the Race for the Cure and American Heart Association's Heart and Stroke Walk.
- Enrollment Services offices frequently compete with one another or against other offices in activities such as bocce, scrabble, softball, and volleyball.
- UNCG fields 16 Division I athletic teams. Staff has a variety of options to purchase discounted athletic tickets.
- Employees may purchase a membership to the Campus Recreation Center for a mere $15 per month. The nearly 87,000 square foot facility offers a three court gymnasium, indoor track, fitness studios, strength and cardiovascular training areas, locker and shower facilities, a 38 foot indoor climbing wall, a spin studio, and four racquetball courts.
